Round the Island by Boat

From the Turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean to the hidden bays of our island home, your Sri Lankan voyage starts here

Once they called it Taprobana, known for its unique location among the navel routes of old. From the ancient Greeks, to the merchant Arabs and even a rogue prince who found a hiding place among this paradise lost, Sri Lanka has been an integral part of the world’s history. Conquered by the Portuguese, Dutch and the English who established their colonies and left notable signs behind, the island’s illustrious history still has many mysteries waiting to be discovered. Among them are paths less travelled. At Round the Island we invite you to join us on a voyage of discovering the island’s undiscovered mysteries. Come, and take a curated tour with us through history, culture and everyday life of an island unlike any other.

Captain Mark

About the Captain

Sunshine on deck, laughter on the breeze

Mark Scott is no stranger to the waters. His earliest childhood memory takes him back to being a 4-year old lad, towing toy boats with a stick. Small wonder then that Mark has dedicated his life to navigating the waterways of the world. First having touched down on the island of Sri Lanka in 1985, a 21-year old Mark fell in love with the untouched beauty of the island that he now calls home.
