Round the Island by Boat

From the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean to the hidden bays of our island home, your Sri Lankan voyage begins here.

Once known as Taprobana, Sri Lanka has been a crossroads for traders, explorers, and even a rogue prince seeking refuge in paradise. From Portuguese, Dutch, and English colonizers to today’s thriving island culture, Sri Lanka’s waterways tell a story that few have fully explored.

At Round the Island, we invite you to join us for boat rides and sailing expeditions in Colombo, and immersive journeys that reveal the island’s hidden wonders. Discover history, culture, and everyday life from a fresh vantage point — aboard a vessel curated for adventure.

Captain Mark

About the Captain

Sunshine on deck, laughter on the breeze

Mark Scott is no stranger to the waters. His earliest childhood memory takes him back to being a 4-year old lad, towing toy boats with a stick. Small wonder then that Mark has dedicated his life to navigating the waterways of the world. First having touched down on the island of Sri Lanka in 1985, a 21-year old Mark fell in love with the untouched beauty of the island that he now calls home.
